The story of the
Lorch Snowplane

Welcome to the Village of Spy Hill

Spy Hill, Saskatchewan is a warm, friendly community, located on Highway 8, 93 kilometers southeast of Yorkton and about 13 kilometers west of the Manitoba border. Three potash mines in the area have drawn a number of people to Spy Hill.

The village is an ideal place to live, raise a family, or retire. It has a wide variety of business as well as non-profit organizations.

The geography of the Rural Municipality of Spy Hill includes several features of interest. Its southern boundary is formed by the historic Qu'Appelle River; the deep, beautiful valley of the Cut Arm Creek drains into the central area, and the modest little Deer Horn Creek trickles throughout the east-central part of the municipality.

A short distance east of the village, and dominating the surrounding area, stands the hill after which the village and municipality are named (photo below).
