Centennial Celebrations

The Spy Hill Centennial Committee hosted the 100th birthday celebrations for the Village and RM of Spy Hill. The celebrations ran from Friday, August 6 to Sunday, August 8, 2010.

Friday August 6

  • Registration at the Spy Hill Rink at 5 pm
  • Hamburgers and hotdogs served outside the rink
  • Family dance in the rink
  • Fireworks at dark

Saturday August 7

  • 9-11:00: Pancake breakfast
  • 10:00: Parade starting at the rink
  • 10:00: Slo-pitch games at the sports grounds
  • Horse races in the sports grounds, face painting, air bouncers for the little ones, museum tours, old time equipment show in Duncan Construction parking lot
  • 6:00: Pork and Beef Supper
  • 9:00: Cabaret in the rink

Sunday August 8

  • 9-12:00: Brunch
  • 11:00: Interdenominational church service
  • Birthday cake served following church service
  • Slo-pitch games at the sports grounds
  • Museum tours, old time equipment show, air bouncers
  • 5:00: Chicken supper
  • Horse chariot races
